Welcome to Resume Reactor, an AI-powered resume optimization and application tracking platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our services.
By using Resume Reactor, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
- Resume Content: Your resume text, work experience, education, skills, and other professional information you upload or input
- Job Descriptions: Job posting content you provide for resume optimization
- Application Tracking Data: Company names, job titles, application dates, job URLs, status updates, and notes you record

Important: In the current MVP version, all your data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This means:

- ✅ We do not have access to your personal resume content
- ✅ Your data is not transmitted to our servers (except AI processing requests)
- ⚠️ Clearing your browser data will permanently delete all your information
- ⚠️ Data is device-specific and not synced across devices
When generating optimized resumes:
- Your resume text and job description are sent to OpenRouter API (using OpenAI GPT-4)
- This data is processed solely to generate optimized resume versions
- We use OpenRouter's services, which have their own privacy policies
- Generated resumes are returned to your browser and stored locally
We implement security best practices:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- No permanent server-side storage of resume content in MVP
- Secure API connections to AI service providers
- Regular security audits and updates
If we implement cloud storage in the future:
- It will be opt-in only
- Data will be encrypted both in transit and at rest
- You will have full control to export or delete your data
- We will update this policy and notify users before implementation
We share limited data with the following third-party services:
- OpenRouter / OpenAI: Resume text and job descriptions for AI optimization (temporary processing only)

Or use our built-in data export feature (if implemented).
You can:
- Stop using Resume Reactor at any time
- Clear your browser's local storage to remove all data
- Disable cookies (though this may affect functionality)
Resume Reactor is intended for adult job seekers (18+ years old). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we discover we have collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately.
Resume Reactor is accessible globally. If you are outside the United States:
- Your data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws
- By using our service, you consent to data transfer to the US
