Welcome to Resume Reactor, an AI-powered platform that helps job seekers optimize their resumes and track application performance. By accessing or using Resume Reactor ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Resume Reactor ("we", "us", or "our").
Resume Reactor provides the following services:
- AI Resume Optimization: Generate three versions of your resume (ATS-optimized, HR-focused, and Hiring Manager-targeted) tailored to specific job descriptions
- Application Tracking: Record and monitor job applications with status tracking
- Performance Analytics: Calculate reply rates, interview rates, and other key performance indicators
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze which resume versions perform best
- Resume Iteration: Optimize resumes based on application performance data
We use advanced AI technology (OpenRouter API with OpenAI GPT-4) to:
- Analyze job descriptions and match them to your resume
- Generate optimized resume content
- Provide suggestions for improvement
- Create performance reports
Important Disclaimer: Resume Reactor is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to OpenAI, OpenRouter, or any AI model providers. We utilize their APIs as third-party services to power our resume optimization features.
Currently, Resume Reactor operates without requiring account registration. All data is stored locally in your browser. If we implement accounts in the future:
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy and legality of content you provide
- Maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account or browser session
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
You may use Resume Reactor to:
- Create and optimize resumes for legitimate job applications
- Track your own job application activities
- Analyze your personal job search performance
- Export and use generated resume content for your benefit
You agree NOT to:
- ❌ Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- ❌ Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- ❌ Impersonate any person or entity
- ❌ Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
- ❌ Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
- ❌ Overload or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
- ❌ Resell, redistribute, or commercialize our Service without authorization
- ❌ Use the Service to spam recruiters or employers
- ❌ Violate any third party's intellectual property rights
- ❌ Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- ❌ Scrape or harvest data from other users (when multi-user features exist)
When using Resume Reactor, you agree that your resume content:
- Is truthful and does not contain false or misleading information
- Does not infringe on anyone else's intellectual property rights
- Does not contain illegal, defamatory, or offensive material
- Complies with professional and ethical standards
All intellectual property rights in the Resume Reactor platform, including:
- Source code, algorithms, and software
- UI/UX design, graphics, and branding
- Documentation and content
- Trade names, trademarks, and logos
...are owned by Resume Reactor and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of:
- Your original resume content
- Information you provide about your work experience
- Application tracking data you create
- Notes and customizations you make
However, you grant us a limited license to:
- Process your content through AI services to generate optimized resumes
- Store your data (currently only in your browser's local storage)
- Use anonymous, aggregated data to improve our Service
Regarding AI-optimized resumes we generate:
- You have the right to use the generated content for your job search
- AI-generated content is based on your input and is customized for you
- We do not claim ownership of the specific resume versions we generate for you
- You may not resell or redistribute AI-generated resumes as a service to others
Your use of Resume Reactor is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains:
- What data we collect and how we use it
- How your data is stored (currently in local browser storage)
- Your rights regarding your data
- Security measures we implement
Important: In the MVP version:
- All your data is stored in your browser's localStorage
- We do NOT store your resume content on our servers
- You can delete all data by clearing your browser storage
- Data is NOT backed up - clearing browser data will permanently delete it
While we implement industry-standard security measures:
- We cannot guarantee absolute security
- You are responsible for protecting your device and browser
- We are not liable for unauthorized access due to your device security failures
Resume Reactor uses OpenRouter and OpenAI services for AI-powered resume generation:
- Your resume content is temporarily sent to these services for processing
- These services have their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policies
- We are not responsible for how these third parties handle your data
- You agree to comply with OpenAI's Usage Policies
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or job boards:
- We are not responsible for the content or practices of these sites
- Clicking external links is at your own risk
- We do not endorse or guarantee any third-party services
Resume Reactor offers the following plans:
- Free Trial: 1 free resume generation (one-time)
- Quick Generate: $1.90 per single resume generation (one-time purchase)
- Basic Plan: $9.90/month for 10 resume generations
- Pro Plan: $19.90/month for 30 resume generations
All plans include:
- All 3 optimized resume versions (ATS, HR, Hiring Manager)
- Unlimited application tracking
- Performance analytics and insights
- All prices are in USD
- One-time purchases are valid forever
- Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
- Credits from one-time purchases do not expire
- Monthly subscription credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle
- Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next month
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
How to Cancel:
- Go to Settings > Billing in your account
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm your cancellation
After Cancellation:
- You will retain access to your subscription until the end of your current billing period
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
- Any remaining credits for the current period can still be used
- Your application tracking data and analytics remain accessible
- You can resubscribe at any time

We offer usage-based refunds for monthly subscriptions:
Eligible for Refund:
- If you cancel within 7 days of your initial subscription and have used 0 credits, you are eligible for a full refund
- For cancellations after 7 days, refunds are calculated based on unused credits:
- Refund Amount = (Unused Credits / Total Credits) × Subscription Price
- Example: Basic plan ($9.90/month, 10 credits) - If you used 3 credits and cancel, you'll receive a refund of $6.93 (7/10 × $9.90)
Not Eligible for Refund:
- One-time purchases (Quick Generate) after the resume has been generated
- Free trial credits (as they are provided at no cost)
- Subscriptions canceled after all credits have been used
- Refund requests made more than 30 days after cancellation
How to Request a Refund:
- Cancel your subscription through Settings > Billing
- Email support@resumereactor.app with:
- Your account email
- Subscription plan name
- Reason for refund request
- We will process refund requests within 5-7 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Payments are processed through our payment provider (Creem)
- We do not store your credit card information
- All transactions are encrypted and secure
- You agree to provide accurate payment information
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice:
- Existing subscribers will be notified by email
- New prices will apply to new subscriptions or renewals after the notice period
- You may cancel before the price change takes effect
We strive to provide reliable service, but:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- We may suspend or discontinue the Service for maintenance
- We are not liable for service interruptions or downtime
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
- Change these Terms with notice to users
- Add new features or remove existing ones
- Update our AI models or optimization algorithms
Changes to core features will be communicated through:
- In-app notifications
- Email (if we have your email address)
- Updates to these Terms with new "Last Updated" date
Resume Reactor does NOT guarantee:

- ❌ Specific results from using optimized resumes
- ❌ That your application success rate will improve
- ❌ That employers will prefer AI-optimized resumes
Results depend on many factors including:
- Your qualifications and experience
- Job market conditions
- Employer preferences and hiring processes
- Quality of your original resume content
Regarding AI-optimized resumes:
- AI may occasionally generate inaccurate or inappropriate content
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content
- You must ensure AI-generated resumes accurately represent your experience
- We are not liable for errors, omissions, or misrepresentations in AI output
- Always fact-check and customize AI-generated content before use
Resume Reactor provides tools, not professional services:
- We do not provide career counseling or job placement services
- Our AI suggestions are not professional career advice
- Consult qualified career professionals for personalized guidance
- We are not responsible for your career decisions based on our Service
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
- WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES
- INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
- WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS
- WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR ERROR-FREE
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- RESUME REACTOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES, OR CAREER SETBACKS
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (CURRENTLY $0)
We are not liable for:
- Damages caused by your misuse of the Service
- Losses due to inaccurate information you provided
- Third-party services (OpenRouter, OpenAI, etc.)
- Employer decisions or hiring outcomes
- Technical failures beyond our control
- Data loss due to browser storage limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability:
- These limitations may not apply to you
- You may have additional rights under local consumer protection laws
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Resume Reactor and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you provide or submit
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
- False or misleading information in your resume
You may stop using Resume Reactor at any time by:
- Simply discontinuing use of the website
- Clearing your browser's local storage
- Deleting your account (when account features are implemented)
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms
- Remove content that violates our policies
- Discontinue the Service entirely with reasonable notice
- Ban users who abuse or misuse the Service
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
- You must stop using any AI-generated content (if violating Terms)
- Disclaimers and limitations of liability survive termination
- You remain liable for any violations that occurred before termination
Before formal legal action:
- Contact us at support@resume-reactor.com to resolve disputes
- We will attempt to resolve issues within 30 days
- Good faith negotiation is required before escalation
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For disputes that cannot be resolved informally:
- Binding arbitration may be required (to be specified based on jurisdiction)
- Small claims court proceedings are permitted
- Class action lawsuits may be waived (subject to local law)
You consent to the jurisdiction of courts in [Your Jurisdiction] for any disputes not subject to arbitration.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Resume Reactor.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to any party.
We are not liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, wars, etc.).
No agency, partnership, or employment relationship is created by these Terms.
